I’M WORKING MY ASS OFF, I KNOW I HAVE THE TALENT, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
That is not an easy title to swallow. Even now. And I am on the other side of that feeling. It sucks to be working hard, confident you have the talent, but not have any “proof” to back that up (a sale, a job, reps, your definition of success.) You know you’re working, you know whatever you’re doing is NOT working, so you start questioning your talent:
Maybe I’m not good enough?
Maybe I should give up?
Maybe I don’t have what it takes?

A dirty little secret about Hollywood is that no one likes to say, “No.” So, they don’t. They “pass.” I have had plenty of passes, trust me. But there’s never been a closed door that I can’t re-open again with the right project at the right time.
